Africycle is a part of a growing movement.  As proponents of the strength of 'social business' and it's ever important model centered on sustainability and self sufficiency, we are seeking partners to plant 'seeds'.  Seeds of change that will bear fruit as social businesses gain the knowledge, skill and resources to thrive independent of the need for ongoing gifts.

Africycle believes that by providing access to affordable bicycles, many impoverished citizens of Africa will gain the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.  Bicycles do make a difference.  The bicycle is a catalyst for sustainable and lasting development in African communities.  Africycle works to provide the necessary framework, resources and infrastructure required to establish a network of locally operated bicycle repair and sales shops throughout Africa.  While creating jobs, Africycle is also providing greater access to transportation that can contribute to a higher standard of living within communities.
